Two members of the A Cappella Records executive team have been voted onto the Contemporary A Cappella Society (CASA) Board of Directors .
Ross Morey, Vice President of Communications, will serve as the new Volunteer Coordinator and Chris Crawford, ACR Founder and President, has been named the Director of Marketing.
Both Morey and Crawford are veteran artists and administrators in the a cappella world. In 2006, Morey created the UCLA men’s a cappella group Bruin Harmony and is the founding Executive Director of the Los Angeles A Cappella Festival. Crawford founded Acquire A Cappella (UC Santa Cruz) and has worked in Apple Public Relations and iTunes Promotions.
The Contemporary A Cappella Society is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to fostering and promoting a cappella music of all styles around the world. CASA was founded in 1991 by Deke Sharon . Sharon incorporated the first a cappella directory – The List – into the Contemporary A Cappella Newsletter (C.A.N). The organization now boasts over 6,000 members, and serves as a resource for media and scholarly work in the area of contemporary a cappella.
