The Tufts Amalgamates have been making – and recording – great music since before its current membership was even born. They’ve performed in some of the world’s most famous locations (from Rockerfeller Center in New York City and Fenway Park in Boston, to Jamaica, Paris and London, just to name a few), and won a great deal of awards for their recording prowess.
But on their Web site, they show that they are especially proud of the international roots and reach of their members and alumni, in addition to their history of performing all over the globe. So it is fitting, then, that the group has not only released their current album, “Prime,” through A Cappella Records, but their entire catalog of music as well, giving their music the ability to span as much of the globe as their membership has.
Over the years, the ‘Mates have seen their way onto several Best of College A Cappella (BOCA) CDs, and been given numerous Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards (CARAs). To check out their history of excellent music-making, visit the Amalgamates’s page.
