It’s another big week for A Cappella Records, with several more artists added to our catalog. First up, we have the Clef Hangers, an award-winning, all-male a cappella powerhouse hailing from the University of North Carolina. They are mainstays in the a cappella world, with one of their alumni – Anoop Desai – finding fame outside of our genre by succeeding greatly on American Idol. Yesterday, we released “Carols From The Hill,” the group’s first holiday venture that involved collaborations and performances by both current and former members alike, and the sort of diverse song selections and tight arrangements for which the group is known.
Today, The Sing Off competitors Pitch Slapped, who took second place in this year’s International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella and come from Boston’s Berklee College of Music, released their first recorded track “Disturbia“. The second season of NBC’s The Sing Off kicks off on Monday December 6th. Also today, the co-ed a cappella group and PandemoniUM, long time successful competition contendors from the University of Maryland, released their most recent studio work, “Momentum.”
And finally, tomorrow Project J Management will be releasing a single, “Worship Now,” performed by John Brown of Rockapella fame. The track will also feature vocal percussion by Jeff Thacher (also from Rockapella).
