The hits just keep on coming for Peter Hollens, who has just released his third pop-inspired single. This time, he’s taken on the arguable reigning queen of pop by covering Lady Gaga’s newest dance hit “Born This Way.” He released the video last Sunday, the night before Lady Gaga released her own music video and yesterday the Operation Beautiful project featured an special version of the video on their website.
Hollens has already seen a great deal of success with his previous singles – Katy Perry’s “Firework” and a mash-up of Rihanna hits entitled “What’s My Name/Only Girl.” All three videos are quickly going viral (including “Born This Way”), accumulating tens of thousands of views each in just a matter of days after their respective releases.
Hollens was featured on NBC’s The Sing-Off, singing lead vocals on renditions of “Kyrie” and “Live Your Life” while performing with fellow ACR clients On The Rocks (from the University of Oregon). His vocals managed to impress the judging panel – and impressing names like Shawn Stockman, Nicole Scherzinger and Ben Folds is quite a feat. He also sang with professional a cappella group Ball in the House (based out of Boston). And in addition to his performance chops, Hollens is incredibly talented as a recording engineer and producer, creating award-winning work with Peter Hollens Productions.
This is just the beginning for Hollens. Make sure to check back here often for updates on his work, and the work of all our artists!
