Vocal band transit, hailing from North Carolina, is finally releasing their award-winning, self-titled debut album online through A Cappella Records (ACR)!
The seven-song ep, released in 2007, delivers a diverse and engaging list of hits that still resonate with audiences today, starting big from the get-go their take on Muse’s “Supermassive Black Hole.” It also has two tracks that garnered recognition from the Contemporary A cappella Recording Awards (CARAs) – “Home” (Best Contemporary Pop/Rock Cover Song, 2007) and “Whispers” (Best Contemporary Pop/Rock Original Song runner-up, 2007). And the entire album was named the Best Contemporary Pop/Rock Album of the Year for 2007.
Founded in 2005, just five people – Alex Delaney, Casey Gallas, April McTaggart, Carl Taylor, and James Wallace – come together to make transit’s full, rich sound. Yet despite their small numbers, transit offers audiences dynamic lead vocals, pounding bass and beats, and rich harmonies with every song they sing.
