Season 2 Sing-Off contestants, International Championship of Collegiate A cappella (ICCA) 2010 finalists, A Cappella Records clients and all around take-no-prisoners super group Pitch Slapped, hailing from the Berklee College of Music, have added a huge accolade to their already-impressive list of achievements.
This past Saturday, they were named the 2011 ICCA champions!
Their dynamic, edgy and professionally executed set consisted of “The Other Side” (Bruno Mars, ft. Cee-Lo Green and B.o.B.), “Because of You” (Kelly Clarkson) and “Takin’ it to the Streets” (The Doobie Brothers). By the end of their 12 minutes, the entire Lincoln Center audience was cheering on their feet. And it seems the judges and audience were in agreement as to which group would take the night!
Congratulations again to Pitch Slapped, as well as Bringham Young University Vocal Point and the Vanderbilt Melodores, who took second and third place this past weekend respectively, as well as all of the competing groups for their fantastic performances!
