It’s Peter Hollens time! However, he isn’t covering The Zombies, as the title of this post may indicate.
Rather, he and his wife Evynne have teamed up again for a more contemporary take on “Seasons of Love,” the 1990′s anthem of love and acceptance. Their entirely a cappella rendition of the internationally celebrated song, the centerpiece of the Nobel Prize winning musical “Rent,” offers a fresh take on an oft-covered and performed song. Both halves of this adorable couple show off some truly stellar vocal chops and range – trust us, you’ll definitely want to listen to this one from start to finish!
The young, successful Hollens duo has put out one other a cappella cover together – a techno rendition of Lady Antebellum’s “Need You Now.” And Hollens himself has put out quite a few singles, both with the help of other talented folk (“Poor Wayfaring Stranger” with the Swingle Singers, and Justin Bieber’s “Pray” with Courtney Jensen and Therry Thomas), as well as on his own (Billy Joel’s “Lullaby,” Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way,” Katy Perry’s “Firework,” and “What’s My Name/Only Girl,” a mash-up of two Rihanna hits).
Hollens, much like the rest of our artists, continue to make amazing music. Keep checking back here to find out what our catalog of stars will be putting out next!
