The Poor Richards from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, PA have released their most recent album for digital download! “Dim the Lights,” released in the fall of 2009, features repertoire from the group’s 2006-2009 years, including “Something to Talk About” and “American Boy.” The album features full, lush arrangements that take advantage of their undoubtedly talented voices.
The Poor Richards have been around since 1968 (when they were founded by a present member of Duwende), making them the oldest group on campus. They also have the distinction of being the college’s only co-ed a cappella group. Open-minded when it comes to their repertoire, they mine entire decades’ worth of quality music for their arrangements (all of which come from within the group). And they spend their time bringing their eclectic mix of songs to audiences of all ages near and far from their home.
The Poor Richards plan on releasing a new album, “Porch Diaries,” later this year. Stay tuned for more information on that release, and keep checking back for updates on the releases of all our clients!
