Moody Blues from Below the Mason-Dixon

Last month, the BluesTones of James Madison University released a single off of their new album, but for those who felt this simply wasn’t enough, you’re in luck; you can now purchase the entirety of their new album, “Black & Blue,” for digital download on iTunes!

BlackBlue Cover 1600 300x300 Moody Blues from Below the Mason DixonRecorded by Emerald City Productions and mastered by diovoce – two of the biggest and most respected names in the game – “Black & Blue” is a decidedly edgy offering. From “crushcrushcrush” by Paramore and “Price Tag” by Jessie J, to “Work it Out” by Beyonce (not to mention their previously released single “Battlefield” by Jordin Sparks), the album offers track after track of audio attitude. The talent, both on the mic and behind the board, as well as the in-your-face track list, combine to form a uniquely resonant album that makes a lasting impression.

The BluesTones were founded in 1999 by two pioneering JMU students and has grown by leaps and bounds in its 12 years of existence. The group has focused on performing near and far with some of the most respected and well-recognized groups in the country, both professional and scholastic.  The BluesTones have shared stages with the likes of Ahmir, Juxtaposition, and the Hullabahoos. Their live performances and studio releases alike have garnered a great deal of positive attention and accolades.  In addition to their respected reputation as performers, they are also philanthropists, lending their voices to fundraisers and other awareness events.

Black & Blue” is NOT a tame album, but if it roughs you up a bit, you’ll be better for it. Make sure to download your copy today!
